This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
You give us:
Name, email, profile photo, university and city, the bookings and bids you create, reviews you leave, and any photos you attach to a booking or your portfolio.
What we do NOT collect:
We do not keep a private record of the messages you send other users or the photos attached inside those private conversations. UniBookr staff cannot read your private messages.
We automatically log:
Basic device info (browser, OS), approximate location based on IP, the pages you visit inside the app, and crash/error data. We do not sell this data.
Payment data:
Stripe processes all card payments. UniBookr stores only the last 4 digits and brand of the card you use; the full number, CVV, and expiry never touch our servers.
How we use it
To run the marketplace: showing your profile to people you choose to share it with, matching clients with providers in their area, sending booking confirmations and reminders, processing payments, preventing fraud and abuse, and improving the app.
Messages between clients and providers
Direct messages between you and another user are visible only to the two participants. UniBookr staff do not read message contents. We never sell or share message contents with advertisers.
Who we share with
The other party in a booking or bid (so providers and clients can identify each other), Stripe (for payments), our hosting and email providers (so the app works), and law enforcement when we’re legally required to. That’s it.
Your choices
You can edit your profile, change notification preferences, and delete your account at any time. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile from search and marks the account as disabled; your past booking history remains available to the other party in each booking (and to UniBookr support for dispute resolution) so both sides keep their record. Some records (payments, tax forms) are kept as long as the law requires.
Cookies
We use first-party cookies and localStorage to keep you signed in and remember your settings (campus, city, theme, etc.). We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Children
UniBookr is for users 18 and older. If we learn a minor has signed up, we will delete the account.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy.
