Terms of Service — UniBookr

Welcome to UniBookr. By using the app, the website, or any service we provide, you agree to these Terms.

1. What UniBookr is

UniBookr is a digital marketplace that connects solo and independent providers who offer personal services. We provide the platform; the providers provide the actual services.

Important — UniBookr is not liable:UniBookr is not the provider. We do not perform, supervise, license, or guarantee any service booked through the app. Every appointment is a contract directly between you and the provider.

2. Accounts

You must be at least 18 to use UniBookr, both as a client and as a provider. You’re responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything that happens under your account. Both clients and providers agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date.

Verified Student status

The “Verified Student” badge means the account holder confirmed a working .edu email address at the listed school. It is not a background check, a license, or a guarantee of competence.

3. Bookings, deposits, and payments

When you book a service, the provider may require a non-refundable deposit to confirm the booking. Any required deposit is paid through UniBookr at checkout — a booking is only confirmed once the deposit has been paid through the app. The remaining balance is paid through UniBookr or in person, depending on what the provider has set up. Prices, durations, and policies are set by each provider on their profile.

Card payments are processed by Stripe. UniBookr never sees your full card number. A standard processing fee (2.9% + $0.30) is added at checkout.

Important — UniBookr is not liable:UniBookr is not responsible for a provider failing to show up, running late, charging incorrectly outside the app, refusing service, or producing results you don’t like. Disputes are between you and the provider. If a provider refuses to refund a clearly missed appointment, contact support at support@unibookr.com and we’ll review the booking record.

4. Cancellations & reschedules

Each provider is fully entitled to set their own cancellation and reschedule policy on their profile. Always read it before booking. Late cancellations may forfeit the deposit. If you’re a provider, your published policy is what we enforce — keep it clear and current.

5. Conduct & safety

Be respectful. Don’t harass, threaten, discriminate against, or share private information about another user. Don’t use the app for anything illegal, sexually explicit services, or anything that puts yourself or another person’s health at risk. We may suspend or permanently remove any account that violates these rules.

Important — UniBookr is not liable:UniBookr is not liable for any injury, allergic reaction, property damage, theft, loss, illness, emotional distress, or any other harm that occurs during, before, or after an appointment. Please apply discretion to meet in safe locations, check provider reviews, and trust your instincts.

6. Bids & counter-offers

Drop-In Bids let you propose a price; providers can accept, counter, or ignore. Sending a bid or a counter-offer is itself a commitment to that price and terms: once the other party accepts, the booking is official and binding. Edit or withdraw a bid before it’s accepted if you change your mind.

7. Reviews

Reviews must be honest and based on a real appointment. We may remove reviews that contain personal attacks, false claims, or unrelated content upon review. Providers cannot pay to hide a review.

8. Provider responsibilities

If you list services on UniBookr, you confirm that you have the right to offer them in your jurisdiction, that you carry any required licenses or insurance, that you’ll honor your published policies, and that you’ll comply with tax law in the place where you operate. UniBookr is not your employer.

9. Intellectual property

You keep the rights to photos, videos, and text you upload, but you give UniBookr a worldwide, royalty-free license to display them inside the app and in promotional material that features the app itself. Providers should not upload anything they do not own to their booking profile.

10. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Delete. We can suspend or terminate accounts that break these Terms, with or without notice.

11. Disclaimers & liability cap

UniBookr is provided “as is” with no warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our total liability to you for any claim relating to the app is capped at the greater of (a) the total fees UniBookr collected from you in the 6 months before the claim, or (b) $50 USD. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages.

12. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after the change means you accept the new Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.
